What do U-level、RFID, NFC and EIC refer to respectively?

In the field of U-bit asset management, terms such as U-bit, RFID, NFC, and EIC often appear. Next, we study together.

U level - In the data center cabinet, U (short for unit) is a unit indicating the external dimensions of the server, the width of the server (48.26cm = 19 inches) and the height (multiple of 4.445cm) specified by the United States Electronics Industry Association (EIA); Because the width is 19 inches, the frame that meets this requirement is sometimes called a "19 inch frame", and the thickness is 4.445cm as the basic unit; 1U is 4.445cm, 2U is twice that (4.445*2=8.89cm), and so on.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), also known as radio frequency identification, is a near-field communication technology (generally microwave, 1-100GHz, suitable for short-range identification communication), can identify specific targets through radio signals and read and write relevant data. There is no need to establish mechanical or optical contact between the identification system and a specific target. At present, RFID technology is widely used, such as access control systems, transportation cards, identity cards, food safety traceability and so on.

NFC (short for Near Field Communication), also known as near field wireless communication, is a short-range high-frequency wireless communication technology that allows non-contact point-to-point data transmission and exchange of data between electronic devices. NFC technology evolved from contactless radio frequency identification technology (RFID), which is based on RFID and interconnect technology. Near-field communication (NFC) is a short-range, high-frequency radio technology that operates at 13.56MHz over a distance of 20 cm.

EIC - Electronic Integrated Circuit (short for Electronic Integrated Circuit), in the field of asset management, EIC single-bus (1-wire) technology is the early identity authentication technology launched by Dallas Semiconductor Company in the 1980s. The principle of 1-wire technology is simply to carve a non-erasable ID number on the EEPROM memory chip.
